The Everest region is one of the most famous places in Nepal and across the world, mainly due to the majestic Mt. Everest being the world’s tallest mountain standing at the height of 8,848m. The Everest regions are one of the most famous trekking trails in Nepal, where you can find tourists from different corners of the world, making this pilgrimage.

The Everest region takes you through the majestic Khumbu region where you can get a magnanimous view of mountains such as Cho Oyu (8201m), Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8481m), Nuptse (7861m), Amadablam (6812m) and Pumori (7161m). This trek provides the experience of culture and tradition of the friendly Sherpas, explore the Sherpa Museum, their colorful monasteries such as the Tengboche Monastery — the largest monastery in the Khumbu region, visit the Sagarmatha National Park and of course climb to the base of Mt. Everest — the highest peak in the world.

The Everest Base Camp trek is categorized as having a moderate level of difficulty. The individual just needs to have an above-average fitness level to make this trek. Upon any health issues there are health facilities in the Everest region for basic care and for intensive care, travelers have to bring to Kathmandu.

The health care facilities in the Everest region are fully equipped with modern technology, and professional doctors, especially in the Kunde Hospital, which was first was one of the first hospitals built in this region in 1966 with the assistance of Sir Edmund Hillary himself. Before this hospital was built, the local Sherpas living in this area mostly depended on allopathic medicine and amchi’s, who are practitioners of Tibetan medicine. Due to this trail being one of the most visited treks in Nepal, there are many healthcare facilities and hospitals in the region.
